I have been playing guitar and writing songs since I was a kid and finally decided to share them with the world. I grew up in the Central American country of Panama and one of my favorite surf spots was a beach called Rio Mar, hence the name of the band.
The only compliment about my music I have ever considered sincere is the off-handed comment “You wrote that?”, and I heard it enough times to finally decide to go into the studio and record some of my songs professionally.
If you listen to all my forthcoming singles/album, you’ll notice the music is inspired by all kinds of genres, from rock to country, blues, folk, pop, reggae, and definitely by all the singer/songwriters I have loved listening to over the years. I hope people enjoy my music, but more importantly, that this project might inspire others to share their talents with the world as well, regardless of the outcome. Life is short, enjoy the ride!
